Sodium silicate is a white powder which is readily soluble in water to produce an alkaline solution. We offer it in liquid and lump form. Sodium silicate is stable in alkaline and neutral form and the silicate ions react with hydrogen ions in acidic solutions, it forms silicic acid, and when this is roasted, it forms silica gel.

Potassium silicate is produced as lumps through direct fusion of pure silica sand and potash in a furnace at temperatures above 10000C.
